The American Legion Legacy Run will take place Aug. 21-25, 2022; those wanting to participate can register here.
The 1,200-mile ride will leave from the USS Alabama Memorial Park in Mobile, Ala., on Aug. 21 and travel through Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, and Illinois before winding up at American Legion Post 434 in Oak Creek, Wis. – a 20-minute drive from Milwaukee, the site of the 2022 American Legion National Convention.
Medal of Honor recipient Gary Wetzel, a Legion Rider from Post 434, will await the ride on its final stop and be a part of its closing ceremonies. Later that evening, Legacy Run participants will be able to take part in a bike night outside of the nearby Harley-Davidson Museum campus upon the conclusion of activities at post 434.
If you wish to just ride in on the last day, the registration process lets you choose that. It is best to reserve a hotel room the night before so that when you check in, they will have your documents. Remember to have your medical information with you when you check in.
If you have any questions, you can forward them to email@example.com.
Please check the RESOURCES page for the latest available Legacy Run documents and merchandise links.
If you riding out on Wednesday for the last leg of the run on Thursday, Keith Carloni will be leading our group to Rockford, IL. The plan is to meet at Melrose Restaurant at 11:00 am for brunch on South 27th Street, Oak Creek, WI. From here, we will have a stop at Hoops Sports Bar and Grill located in Hebron, IL. When we arrive in Rockford, IL, we will check into our hotel and then ride to American Legion Post 77 in Belvidere, IL. Once here, we will need to check in, receive group ride information and any swag items. We will meet up again Thursday morning to ride from the hotel to Post 77.
